The working committee for National Comprehensive Animation Cultural Knowledge Certificate Examination (so called Anime Kentei) announced the program planed on March 22nd at Tokyo International Anime Fair 2007. “Anime Kentei” aims to develop animation industry and culture as the certificate examination. The examination includes animation culture/industry knowledge of domestic and overseas. It is expected that the certificate also aims to use for recruiting in the future.

In addition to the exam, which is categorized as 5 step grades, “free charge mobile grade”, which participants could use mobile devices are set. The exam for mobile grade is scheduled in the middle of April. Setting up of official website will be in the end of April, and publication of official textbook will be in the end of May. Questions focus on animation history and famous titles. Higher grade examinees should be familiar with secret stories as well as a bit of knowledge. The participant, for even higher grades will face with questions such as original pieces and theme songs.
