
The restaurant front of “Mimasuya”.
It was established in Meiji 38 (1905). Interior of the wooden building constructed during early Showa period is retro and customers can enjoy a good-old atmosphere of izakaya. Izakaya is said to be started by people drink standing in front of a sake shop during Edo period. It is a place to drink sake alone or with a group. ¡ÈMimasuya¡É offers more than 30 kinds of side dish collected from all over Japan that goes well with local sake. ¡ÈBasashi¡É (horse meat, 2000 yen) and ¡Èyanagawa nabe¡É (loach and burdock simmered in soy sauce, 800 yen) are especially recommended. Reservation is a must as the restaurant gets crowded with workers from the early evening.
