¡ÈGinza Tokyo Yokan¡É is a long-established Japanese sweet café located in front of Ginza 1-choume station of Tokyo Metro Yurakucho line. It is a bit modern and very attractive Japanese café with walls decorated with ukiyoe from Edo period. A beloved item of this café is ¡ÈAnmitsu¡É (890 yen). Homemade sweet bean paste has elegant sweetness and leaves pleasant taste after. ¡ÈCream Anmitsu¡É (950 yen) receives the most popularity. Other than these, ¡ÈShiratama Zenzai¡É (945 yen) that uses dumplings made of shiratamako (rice powder) and ¡ÈJapanese style Parfait¡É (1100 yen) using green tea jelly and red beans are available. All menu comes with ¡ÈYabukita Tea¡É (a kind of tea), but ¡ÈMaccha¡É (685 yen) which is made when ordered is also recommended. Maccha is made by making green tea into fine powder and is used in the tea ceremony. When talking about maccha, difficult manners come to our mind but in this café customers can enjoy it lightheartedly. Mild sweetness of sweets and bitter maccha makes a perfect match.
