Bunmeido Café well-known for ¡Ècastella¡É is located besides Kabukiza, one of the most representing tourist attractions of Tokyo. Castella is made by fusion of Western and Japanese dietary culture and thus customers can enjoy both Western and Japanese sweets in one menu. ¡ÈSeason¡Çs Japanese style Plate (1500 yen with drinks)¡É is composed of diced castella, Japanese chestnuts made Mont Blanc(Japanese cake) put on top of vanilla cream, and one piece of Japanese sweets that was chosen by the customer from 7~8 choices. Drink choices are green tea, black tea, and coffee. Among these coffee is recommended because its bitter taste surprisingly goes well with sweet Japanese sweets.
Season¡Çs menu ¡ÈRice-flour Dumplings Zenzai warm Japanese chestnuts soup style (1400 yen)¡É is composed of Matcha ice cream put on top of rife-flour dumplings, and soup made by Japanese chestnuts mousse and milk. Greenness of Matcha looks very attractive in modern tone of color and customers enjoy this. Since the café is located besides Kabukiza, many women dressed in kimono use it and the café has a quiet atmosphere.
