In between JR Tokyo station and JR Yurakucho station, you will see a ship-shaped glass building. In the first floor of this slightly bizarre building <Tokyo International Forum> locates “Gohan Cafe”. It is a glazed, big, and bright cafeteria that specializes in delicious rice from all over Japan. The standard and very substantial ‘Onigiri Gozen (840 yen)’ includes 2 onigiri (rice balls), 3 side dish, and full-ingredient miso soup. Moreover, the original ‘Rice Udon (750 yen)’ is especially recommended. Udon is usually made from flour but this cafe uses rice. Aside of this there are other menu using rice such as ice cream and dessert and customers can enjoy new fascination of rice. “Rice Bar” opens at night, and customers can enjoy brand sake and sake-based cocktails. At annexed “Gohan Museum” customers can obtain various information related to rice and recipe for free (Japanese only).
