Tokyo International Anime Fair announced the winners of the 3rd Award of Merit
.
The fair is also working for the promotion of anime industry and culture. As a part of the efforts, Achievement award was intended to reward people, who have supported Japanese anime industry.

20 people in the past, who have built the foundation of Japanese anime received the 1st Achievement award. Pioneers of sounds, voice actors and songwriters were awarded in the 2nd.
As for the 3rd time, the name has changed to Award of Merit. 13 people (including group) have received the award. They were active after the war (in 1950s and 1960s) in making feature animations.
